GOVIS was delighted to accept
an invitation to sponsor the inaugural
Webstock
Conference in May 2006 held in
Wellington. This was a world class event for web developers,
with
a host of high quality speakers, both national and
international. Webstock was the
inspiration of
Web
Standards New Zealand, a non-affiliated group of web
standards enthusiasts who's efforts came to fruition in
delivering a major
conference. With it's own experience of running high quality
events, eagerly anticipated by delegates and sponsors alike, GOVIS
is especially pleased that by assisting Web Standards New Zealand
with their inaugural conference, it is likely Webstock will
become a regular and independent event. |

6: Emerge - Emerge was selected as the theme for the 2002 conference. This
was in recognition of the significant
progress made in various areas related to IT / IM / IS across government,
also reflecting the merging of central and local government
services particularly evident with the Government Portal roll
out mid year. The theme also symbolises GOVIS continuing to evolve
and emerge as the foremost Government forum for IT / IM / IS professionals |
